Resolving IGV Servo Sticking Turbine Trips

Oil Brand: Total Preslia 46
Oil Volume: 13,000 liters
Problem: IGV Servo Valves sticking problem due to Oil varnishing caused repeated trips and restart problems.
Summary of project:
HYPRO SVR skid was installed on the oil tank for Oil cleaning in order to eliminate the associated problems. To quantify the results, bi-monthly Oil analysis was conducted to monitor the improvement in oil condition. Within 35 days, the Oil condition was back to the normal range, thereby eliminating sticky valves problem and eliminating the turbine trips.
